Eastern Beauty for Two Challenges

My card today is my entry for two challenges.  Ironically, I didn't plan to create an entry for either one.  When I first say them, I just couldn't get any inspiration.  So, I thought I would just be skipping these challenges this time. Before the deadline passed, I thought I would look at them one last time and see if inspiration struck.  This time, I was looking at them together and was instantly inspired.  I don't know what made the difference, but combining a color challenge and sketch challenge ignited a spark of creativity in my brain.

The Eastern Palace set is so much fun to play with.  There are so many different ways to use the same stamp and thinlit sets to create very different cards with very different moods.  I love the versatility ot this set.  I decided to use the Specialty DSP with the gold foil on both the outside and inside of this card.

The first Challenge I used for the card was #FabFri112.  The challenge was a color challenge and I added the Calypso Coral and Rich Razzleberry both through stamping and by adding embellishments.

Make sure you take time to visit Fab Friday 112 to check out all the great cards made with this color combination.

Then, check out CAS(E) this Sketch 222 to see all the amazing cards inspired by this sketch.

Don't forget if you love the Eastern Palace products used to make this card, the Special Bundles are only available until May 31, so don't miss out.

I'm offering paper and in color shares from the new catalog.  You can read more about it here: 2017-2018 Annual Catalog Shares

  1. So very gorgeous! I'm such a dunce, I didn't realize those sentiments even fit in those shapes - argh! I love what you've done here, and nice to see those accent stickers, too. Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!

    1. Thanks Heather. I'd never used the sentiments inside those shapes before either, but I think that's my favorite thing about this set; it lends itself to such versatility and each creation is different.

  2. You've used so many great elements on your card. The gold is a great compliment to our challenge colors that I never would have thought to include. And the detail of the little flower in the corners of the sentiment shapes make them pop! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!

    1. Thanks Amanda. I wasn't sure if it would be OK to add gold, but I figured metallics are ok to add to other color challenges, so I thought I would try it.
