Video: July Online Class Featuring Back On Your Feet stamp set--week 2

It's time for another online class.  July's featured stamp set is Back on Your Feet.  This week I decided to use the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches and the colors from the Global Design Project Challenge when creating these cards  I'm not sure what it is about this stamp set, but I can't seem to make only one card of a design.  I feel like I'm not truly finished until I have three cards featuring all three animals  

As I was working on these cards, I found myself thinking about people I know who could use a little encouragement right now.  I think these cute cartoon animals might just do the trick.  Sometimes all there is to say is "Sigh . . ."

The colors for #GDP197 were Seaside Spray, Terracotta Tile, and Pear Pizzazz  The Seaside Spray is the card base and some of the faceted dots.  I used Pear Pizzazz and a Blender Pen to stamp the turtle and then add color.  Terracotta Tile is represented in the faceted gems, inside sentiment stamp color, and the strips of DSP.  There may be another color represented in those mosaic DSP strips, but I prefer to think of it as varying shades of Terracotta Tile like there would be in the stamp off method.

I couldn't stop with just one card.  Check out the colors and patterns used with the other two animals.

Sailing Adventure

 I am not on a cruise right now, but I sure am thinking about it a lot especially this week. I think that must have helped inspire my card for the Paper Players theme of Water Sports.  I'm not sure cruising actually counts as a water sport, but swimming while on the cruise sure does and so does sailing.  I love how the Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! creates an amazing card with little or nothing else needed. But in case you want to add some finishing touches, there are High Seas trinkets available to help you do just that with a ships wheel or an anchor.

One of these days, maybe I'll be on a cruise.  In the meantime, I'll keep dreaming and creating cards celebrating the water.

Video: July Online Class Featuring Back On Your Feet stamp set--week 1

"Back On Your Feet"  That could mean literally, like the turtle or the sloth with the broken leg.  I don't know of any human with a literal knot in their neck, but I do know mine sure feels like it some days.  I do not currently have a broken leg (or any other broken bones), but I still feel like I need to get back on my feet.  

I know there are many days I feel the need to be "back on my feet," not literally, but figuratively.  I need to find something within myself to find a reason to say something other than "Sigh .  ." and lay there floundering unable to get motivated to roll myself over and get busy

This stamp set makes cards perfect not only for get well cards for literal physical illnesses or injury, but also for those moments we all have when we just aren't at our best.  Those days we would rather stay on our backs like the turtle or lounging like the sloth.  Those are the days it would be perfect to find a card like this waiting in your mailbox.  That might even get me back on my feet with a smile on my face.

2019-2021 In Colors

 The In Colors are always exciting  to start to use and see just how amazing they are and add to your projects.  For this challenge, I didn't make one card using all five 2019-2021 In Colors, I made five cards each using one the 2019-2021 In Colors.
From left to right the colors are Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, and Purple Posy

My favorite is Rococo Rose.  Which one is your favorite?
