Christmas Carols for TGIFC138 with my favorite DSP--Merry Music for Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop

Welcome to the monthly Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. This month's theme is Favorite DSP. You are currently visiting Angel Shaver from USA. I hope you enjoy my project/cards.
I had to do quite a bit of thinking to decide which is my favorite DSP.  I debated a few different options before I finally settled on Merry Music Specialty DSP.  I have been drawn to it for several different paper projects: cards, mini album, ornaments, gift packaging options.  For this challenge I decided to make a hexagon box.

I had so much fun making this box as tall as I could with a 12” x 12” piece of cardstock. I love looking under the tree and seeing a variety of shapes and sizes.

I carried the music theme on to the decoration on the top of the box.  I used the Deck the Halls stamp from the Carols of Christmas stamp set.  Finally tying the 7/8” Striped Ribbon around the box to finish it off.  This box also fits the theme for the TGIF challenge; “Carols of Christmas”.

Make sure you head over to TGIF and check out the inspiration cards by the design team and other creative entries.

    1. Thank you. It was much easier than I expected. Just use the window box thinlit dies at the top and bottom of the size of paper you want to use. Don't put the top cutting plate over the bottom tabs when you cut it out at the top of the page. Then, move the die to the bottom of the page and don't cover the hexagon with the cutting plate. Then use a scoring board or the scoring blade on the Stampin' Trimmer to score all the lines from top to bottom. Make two of these and the create the hexagon box following the Stampin' Up! directions for the Window Box.
