Video: January Online Class Featuring Sheltering Tree Stamp Set--Week 5

I've been so excited today.  It's been a day full of favorites for me.  I love getting to create and have a class on Facebook LIVE  I love getting to share with all of you.  My absolute favorite Facebook LIVE classes are the months that have a 5th Thursday so we get to try a new technique or fun fold  Well, January 2019 had a fifth Thursday so I got to make a fun fold card this week  I also used my favorite Stampin' Up! color, Blackberry Bliss  

I've seen lots of examples and videos of this "twist and pop" card and have been waiting for just the right moment to try it for myself  That moment arrived today.  The card opens to a surprise four panel image strip which was just perfect four the images of the four seasons we had used to make the four different Sheltering Tree cards earlier this month.  The Nature's Poem DSP  were the perfect patterns for the card front and inside panels.  I added a belly band to hold the card shut and the tree on the belly band is a conglomeration of all four seasons.  You can't really see the white snowflakes on the white background, but they are there  :)

Here are the measurements I used to create this card:

• Card  Base 4 1/4" x 11" scored and folded at 5 1/2" to make card base 4 1/4" x 5 1/2'
• DSP Panels for card front and card interior 4" x 5 1/4"
• Twist and Pop base  3" x 8" ;
  Mark made 2 1/2" in from each end
  Scored vertically at 1 1/2"
  Scored diagonally connecting 2 1/2" marks both directions to form x
• Decorative panel strip 3 1/2" x 10"
  Scored at 2 1/2", 5", and 7 1/2"
• Paper for each decorative panel 3 1/4' x 2 1/4"

The image panels on the inside of this card contain similar images to the ones used on all four cards this month.
