Blog Moving
My blog is moving. I have been talking about doing this for awhile and have actually been started, but it never seemed done enough for me to share. I read Do It Scared by Ruth Soukup and discovered I am a Procrastinator.
Initially, I did not think that was possible since I work more than I should and never wait until the last minute to start anything. But, once I discovered it could definitely be because of Perfectionism and the tendency to refuse to call anything "done" or "good enough" until it is my definition of perfect that made a lot more sense.
So, in honor of doing it scared, I hit publish on my new website and although it is a work in progress and will be for awhile, now it is a work in progress you can watch and offer feedback on rather than it living in my private head space.
You will see much of the same on my new webpage--projects, challenge entries, Stampin' Up! (R) promotions . . .There will eventually be some additional content as well. I will be focusing on the positive, therapeutic aspects of crafting and how it continue to feed my soul and add peace and joy to my life and can yours as well.

Polaroid from Heaven
The minute I saw the sketch for this week's challenge, I instantly started thinking of Polaroid pictures. It's been awhile since I've had the please of shaking a picture as I waited for the image to form, but we've been having a bit of fun around here lately with new models of instant cameras that print your picture out as soon as it's taken. Thinking about Polaroids and Christmas cards at the same time got me wondering what would have happened if the shepherds had a Polaroid camera that first Christmas night. Here is the image I imagined.
The angel and the sentiment were heat embossed with Copper embossing powder to match the copper stars on the Designer Series Paper. The swirls in the sky were stamped using Seaside Spray and Purple Posy. Purple Posy ink and refill has now been discontinued and is no longer available. You can still order the paper and embellishments in that color, but the ink was just not able to meet quality standards.

Fall Foliage Waterfall Card
When I did the Facebook Live on Halloween making the waterfall card with the Boo to You stamp set, I told you to keep an eye on this blog because a waterfall card featuring Gather Together would be coming. Well, here it is. I love the colors of fall and the colors in the Gather Together suite.
To see a video of me putting together a waterfall card, see the post from November 1. This one was much easier to remember how to put together. That's what happens when I'm doing my creating before the sun goes down. :)

Christmastime is Here!!!
Today is November 1st. Halloween is over and although stores have been getting ready for Christmas already, it has been driving me a little bit crazy. What about fall? My daughter has been saying NO CHRISTMAS until after Halloween. Well, Halloween is now over, so the stores are now full-blown Christmas. That has always bothered me a bit since Thanksgiving is so important. But, I've since decided that thanks is too important to be given one day or even one month. Thanks should be happening every day all year. That means, it is perfectly fine to start focusing on Christmas
Christmastime is Here suite is available starting today.
Today's card was made using the Christmastime is Here Suite. I used the sketch from PP465 and the colors from Global Design Project 213: Old Olive, Lovely Lipstick, and Smoky Slate. I used some DSP for Old Olive and stamped the sentiment in Lovely Lipstick as well as a rose that was then cut out and attached with dimensionals. Since this suite has gold accents, I decided to add a rose heat embossed with gold embossing powder on basic black paper as the focal point of the card.

Stampin' Up! Helps with Halloween
Halloween is approaching and you would like to give it a personal homemade touch. What do you do? Stampin' Up! to the rescue. Stitched Stars dies did an excellent and quick job making a homemade wand out of craft foam. Look at these cute fairy godparents.
I would like to say our house was fun for trick or treaters--at least we gave it a good effort. With a Steampunk Dalek guarding the front door and these cute paper pumpkin treat boxes, I had a good time anyway. I have no idea how many trick or treaters we had, but all 20 paper pumpkin treat boxes were gone, plus most of our extra candy. Bone appetit everyone. All my treat boxes used the same sentiment. I didn't think the new neighbors should be sending home boxes that said "Toxic Treats."
My final Stampin' Up! contribution to my Halloween was this fun waterfall card featuring the Boo to You Stamp Set. I ended up trying to put this together far too late in the day for me. Please excuse my fuzzy brain and forgetfulness. I'll try to remember to only do Facebook LIVEs earlier in the day while my brain is still functioning. I hope you enjoy this card anyway and like the watercolor pencil coloring and google eyes I added after the video.
