This time of year always has me thinking more about patriotism, heroism, the American flag and all that it stands for and all who make sacrifices protecting what it stands for. That is what inspired this card. I'm not sure you can see them in the picture, but I used the stamp from the Waterfront stamp set which can be sand, snow, or stars with Whisper White craft ink to create the stars in the blue square of the upper left corner of the flag.
I chose to use the richer tones of the regal family when creating this card with Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler. The sentiment from the Rooted in Nature stamp set captures what I am feeling as I create this card: "Words are Never Enough." There aren't words to express thanks for the sacrifices, or words to express patriotism or pride. Words are not enough.
