I have learned a few things about myself lately.
- I tend to get fixated on one subject and focus on it at the exclusion of everything else
- I cannot work in a disorganized space--it may look messy to you no matter what, but I at least need to know where everything is
- Everything takes me much longer to complete than I think it will
- I get overwhelmed with too much of anything and need to be able to slow down and focus on one new, exciting thing at a time
- Too much creative excitement and newness causes my creative brain to shut down much like too much action in movies causes me to fall asleep. Overload = Shut down
- Once a space is cleaned off and I start crafting, creativity, peace, and joy come flooding back
The good news is now that I've identified what causes the shut down or feeling like I've lost my mojo, I can do something to prevent or correct it. :)
What causes a shut down for you?
This week's card uses a design from a challenge in April. Both cards used a Coastal Cabana card base along with Follow Your Art DSP. Both use the spools of ribbon stamp with paper piecing of the ribbons. The sparkle is added with wink of stella and Glittered Enamel Dots.
