Looking out the window, I see the snow softly, gently falling from the sky resting in soft piles on the ground, trees, houses, the entire world. The snowflakes sparkle like diamonds as they catch the sunlight on the way to the ground. The whole world looks fresh and clean and new. There is no visible sign of the tension, stress, anxiety, negativity that seems to permeate the world. Inside the house, I am bundled in my Wonder Woman blanket, reclined on the couch enjoying the crackling fire in the fireplace and the twinkling lights on the Christmas tree, the star on top changing from blue to purple and back again with a mug of steaming hot chocolate warming my hands, my heart, my soul. Calm. Relaxed. Breathing. Enjoying the serenity of the moment. Watching the stress of life fall away with the snow.
This only happened in my imagination, but it was the inspiration for this card. It may be fiction, but even the imagination of this scene can can you to relax and breathe. I'm guessing the snow on the East Coast right now is not bringing serenity and relaxation. It is not and has not been falling softly and gently to the ground. So imagination is still required when creating this scene.
