When I'm home for the holidays I create

You might not look at this card and automatically think "Home for the Holidays."  But, I do.  This is an amazing representation of what "home for the Holidays" means to me.  I took crafting supplies with me when I left me home and headed to my parents.  For me, it is easier to create without dust bunnies calling from under the couch or dishes calling from the kitchen.  And, while some my think this would isolate me from family, I find other family members sit with me at the table while I'm working and we have great conversations.  It also gives me a chance to do some creating with my niece.  :)

So, that is how crafting reminds me of going "Home for the Holidays" to my childhood home.  Then, when I am "Home for the Holidays" at my own home, crafting is still happening while I try to silence the cries of the dust bunnies or dishes so I can enjoy some creative time during my "break"

For this project, I chose to play with the new Painted with Love Specialty DSP from the Occasions catalog.  I chose the coordinating colors out of that DSP as I created this card.  The stamped strip is longer than the sketch, but if you look closely, you can a thinner strip of Power Pink cardstock peeking out behind it.
