SNEAK PEEK; His Light with Blizzard Thinlits

I have to say I'm not really ready for snow, but I am ready for a bit of cooler weather.  I did have fun playing with products from the upcoming 2018 Holiday catalog.  Just think, you'll be able to get your hands on these and start playing with them yourselves when the holiday catalog goes LIVE next week.  I decided to play with the new Blizzard Thinlit and see how that would work.  I was able to put different papers behind the thinlit in different sections to get a variety of snowflake colors. I don't often find myself adding Soft Suede snowflakes to my cards, but it was part of the Just Add Ink Colour Challenge and to be honest, you do see some snow with shades of brown or grey in real life (generally after it's touched the ground)

I couldn't wait to use the sentiments from the His Light stamp set.  I imagine they'll be getting a lot of use on my cards this year.

I did learn something as I used the Blizzard Thinlit--removing the snowflakes is much easier when you use a Precision Base Plate.  I'm excited to try a project using the negative space left behind after the snowflake dies are removed and using it with the Big Shot Embossing Mat.  Stay tuned to this blog to see what I come up with.
