Stars shine in the night, catch our interest as we stare at them trying to see constellations, keep us grounded, help guide our way, encourage wishing and dreaming, and provide sparkle. A child can provide much of the same: sparkle and shine, help us keep wishing and dreaming, keep us grounded, influence our decisions that guide our lives, and catch our interest as we watch them to see what patterns will emerge in their lives. Our children are the stars that brighten our days.
This card was inspired by the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch #300 and colors from TGIF challenge #189. I thought the three challenge colors would look great with the three-step Congratulations stamp. I'm sure glad I had the Stamparatus to help me line up the different stamps; I just don't think I could rely on my own double vision or shaky hands to make that happen. The sentiment is a bit longer than the card
(4 1/2") I thought about creating the card landscape style so the sentiment wouldn't overhang the card, but I decided to leave it portrait orientation. The sentiment strip is raised with dimensionals so it really stands out and makes a statement.
Make sure you head over to #tgifc189 and CTS #300 to see the inspiration cards by the design team and other creative entries.
