Video: Sprinkles of Life Card 2

Time for my weekly video.  I thought I had everything all figured out--every trial run had gone smoothly.  Of course, my tablet would not connect and film when it was time to go LIVE.  So I had to set up my laptop once again.  Changing the set up so I could use my laptop had me running late.  Sorry about that.  But, at least this week we were only delayed by a few minutes and not a whole day.  Maybe next week, we'll be right on time.  We'll see.  Make sure you join me for the adventure.

This week we focused on using the Sprinkles of Life set to make a Birthday card featuring a cupcake.   Next week we get to create a card featuring ice cream.
I know during my video, I lost my sprinkles stamp and said I'd finish the rest of the inside after I found it and post pics here.  Well, I still haven't found it, so I finished the inside using a stamp from the Party Pants set from Sale-a-bration set from 2016.  Don't worry, I'm sure I will find the stamp when I get around to cleaning up the classroom/office.  It can't have run too far since it just jumped off my Stampin' Scrub on my lap during video recording.  In the meantime, I'm just glad I have an alternative I can use.

Fab Friday 109 | Sketch Challenge

My big project today is preparing a tin of cards for a silent auction fundraiser.  After I put it together, I realized I needed a wedding card.  So, I used inspiration from the Fab  Friday Challenge to create a wedding themed card for the tin of cards.  

It didn't start out on purpose, but I did think using two colors  (Rose Red and Night of Navy) was perfect symbolism for marriage--the joining of two lives.  I even added two enamel hearts to symbolize the bride and groom. I decided to use the gold embossing powder and stampin' dimensionals to help focus the Congratulations.

Retiring Products

I hope you have all had a chance to check out the retiring products.  I had planned to do posts during these next 6 weeks showing how I had used some of the retiring products.  I still plan to do that, but I won't be sharing as much as I had planned because some of the products are already SOLD OUT.  So, I'd better hop to it.

The one thing that is retiring that I use (or at least have out ready to use) with every project I make is the Adhesive Remover.  If you always create projects perfectly with no adhesive where it doesn't belong you don't need this.  But, if you're like me and occasionally get adhesive where you don't want it, consider getting an adhesive remover before it's gone.here  When I checked on it's status this morning, it is on low inventory so don't delay.

The stamp set and punches that I began my Stampin' Up business using are also retiring.  So, if you've been thinking about getting them or love playing with them at a class or workshop and would like to be able to continue doing so, now is the time to order.
