I'm not sure I would say I don't have a green thumb. I think in order to know that you have to actually try to grow a living plant. I just want a plant to show up and do amazing without any work or attention from me. Do you call that a lazy thumb?
Whatever it is called, my family knows how much I appreciate flowers growing in the ground, but don't actually want to care for them myself. So, this year, I got a membership to Botanica so I can enjoy the beauty of flowers and plants growing without having to handle the planting, weeding, nurturing myself
Another way to enjoy the beauty of flowers that will remain beautiful is to make them the star of a card.
I created a cluster of daisies by stamping some in Sahara sand and then punching out others in Whisper White cardstock and layering them together using Clear Faceted Gems as the flower centers.
So, if you have a black thumb or even just a lazy one, but would still like to enjoy beautiful flowers, here are some ideas
- Live next door to someone with a green thumb
- Bribe your children to garden for you
- Take a walk and enjoy the flowers around your neighborhood
- Get a membership to your local botanical gardens
- Craft yourself some flowers, flower cards, or other flower paper projects

DeleteWhat a great idea to mix the stamped and punched Daisies - it really gives your bunch of Daisies depth. Chantell Just Add Ink
ReplyDeleteThanks Chantell. I'm glad you noticed the illusion of depth I was going for.
