Video: May Class Featuring Needle & Thread Stamp Set--Week 1

A new month brings a new featured stamp set to Angel Stamps.  I cannot believe it is May already  In fact, I still feel like it is February or March at the latest.  :)  But, May it is and May brings with it flowers to the world and flowers to this card.  The end of May/first of June is also when some Stampin' Up! products retire to make room for the new coming in June.  This stamp set will be retiring, so I plan to use it quite a bit this month.  At minimum there will be one card with this stamp set each week.

I love how you can see the individual threads in the stamped image.  We were given an important tip at OnStage Orlando in November.  Use your bone folder, a plastic spoon, or even the side of your clear block in a pinch to move the ink from the center to both sides.  This will give you a more crisp, detailed stamped image.

I also used the Stamparatus hinge/step technique to create the stitched line pattern on the Smoky Slate cardstock.  This is a great way to create your own background paper
