Global Design Project 077 | Color Challenge

I'm super excited that I am not down to the last minute this week for the Global

Design project.  The colors got me excited right away because they reminded me of a card I had made previously, so I knew just what I wanted to do.  These colors are different than the ones I previously used, so I got to recreate the card which gave me the opportunity to not only change the colors a bit to meet #'GDP077, but also make some minor design adjustments to make this card

match the idea in my head better.

The color I chose for my free choice was Soft Suede.  I thought that just made a great cross base color with the Peekaboo Peach.  I like having the cross on an oval popped out with Dimensionals.  It adds a bit of interest and some shadowing on the card.

CI04 Avent Garden

The first thing I thought of when seeing the colors for this challenge were team colors.  I've had the experience of being part of more than one school team with the color of purple and yellow (or gold).

But, I really didn't feel inspired to make a team or sports card.  I've really been focusing on Sale-a-bration items right now, since we are nearing the end of that great event and I want all of you to see these great products you could earn for FREE with Sale-a-bration.  I felt the Avent Garden Stamp Set was perfect for this color challenge.

Here is what I came up with for the challenge.  I do not have Delightful Dijon ink, but I do have some paper in that color.  I was so excited to have all the colors of this challenge.  I used part of a Paper Pumpkin card front because it reminded me of a garden lattice and seemed to go perfectly for this card.

Global Design Project 076 | Case the Designer

Someday I'm going to get the Global Design Project done earlier in the week and not mere hours/minutes before the deadline.  But that is not going to happen this week.  :)  I do manage to think about the project early in the week and plan it out in my head.  I just don't manage to get the card out of my head and onto paper until the very last minute. 

I was so excited that the Global Design Project was CASEing Kylie Bertucci this week.  I have been following Kylie since I became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator and love seeing what new creations she comes up with every week.  I was thrilled to be CASEing her this week. 

I have been trying to feature Sale-a-bration items this month and decided to use the Designer Tees set for this weeks #GDP076.  I love that this stamp set has such positive messages to spread a little cheer and encouragement.

Happy Mail

One of the main reasons I became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator was to share the joy of card making with others.  I love to go to the mailbox and find something other than a bill or jumk mail.  A handmade card not only makes me smile, but it makes me think about the sender.

Kylie Bertucci, Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in Australia has started a Facebook group where we send Random Act of Kindness cards to each other around the world.  We can send as many as we want to whomever is on the list.  I started receiving RAK cards at the end of January and I want to share them with you.

March Online Class #1--Tic Tac Toe

Tasty Taco Trucks

This is the final month that Sale-a-bration items are available.  You can earn one for FREE for every $50.00 you spend (before tax and shipping).  I will be featuring Sale-a-bration products all week

 I started playing with the Tasty Trucks stamp set.  I had such fun creating cards using the Fiesta Birthday DSP and the taco stamp from that set.  I love puns and so I especially love the sentiment that says, "Let's Taco 'Bout How Awesome You Are." 

Besides using different DSP, I stamped a banner in the top left corner of one card and left the other blank.  Which do you prefer? 

Of course, I couldn't play with this stamp set without putting an actual truck on the card.  Check out the Taco Truck on the inside of the card.
