C105--Celebrate You

Here is my design for the Color INKspiration challenge 05.  I am absolutely in love with the colors for this challenge.  I love that they are the colors that go with the Falling in Love DSP from the Occasions catalog.  They also happen to perfectly match the colors for Ms. Wheelchair Kansas.
And, this was perfect timing because this just so happens to be Ms. Wheelchair Kansas 2017 weekend.  It was a bonus to get to think with these colors all week.

Video: Work of Art Card #3

Today we made Easter Egg cards with the Work of Art stamp set.  I had so much fun coming up with different designs  Which design do you like best one of the sample cards from earlier or the one I created today.

.

I decided the frame needed a little something extra so instead of a stamp or a tag, I decided to emboss the frame.  To see exactly how I did that, make sure and watch the video.    It even left me with a little extra to decorate the inside of the card.

I apologize in advance for the sound on the video.  I'm not sure exactly what happened.  I hope it was just a fluke and will have fixed itself by next week's video.  So, if the sound bothers you too much, you can just mute the sound and play along while watching.

Let me know how you prefer to receive card making directions?  Do you prefer a video to watch, a PDF file to read, or both?  Let me know how you learn best and I'll make adjustments as needed.

Birthday Card Gallery

Today is a hard day to find an appropriate card to post on this blog.  I have been working hard and creating--I even have two Challenge cards ready to post later this week.  However, I've been working hard creating for Ms Wheelchair Kansas and Little Miss Wheelchair Kansas and I don't want to give away any surprises before the cards are delivered to their recipients.  So, you'll have to be in suspense a while longer and keep watching this blog.

What I have decided to do since I don't want to ruin the surprise early for my Ms. Wheelchair Kansas friends is show pictures of some birthday cards that have already been sent.  Enjoy the gallery of photos.

If you have any questions about products or techniques used in specific cards, please ask.  I'm happy to answer questions.

Little Miss Wheelchair Kansas

This is the first time I've gotten a chance to do something like this.  A  big part of my decision to become a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator was the ability to give back to others and make them smile through handmade cards and opportunities to play together and make cards for others.

Well, I now have the opportunity to give back even more.  I will be holding a private stamping party  with Ms. Wheelchair Kansas and Little Miss Wheelchair Kansas participants this weekend.  We will get to be creative and play together, .making cards with Stampin' Up products for ourselves and others.

You can join me as I give even more this weekend.
Stampin' Up products are always a chance to give of yourself through handmade cards and other paper products.  This weekend you have an opportunity to make your Stampin' Up purchase give even more.  All orders placed this weekend Friday, March 17-Monday, March 21 will also be giving to Little Miss Wheelchair Kansas.  10% of all orders (before tax and shipping) will be donated to Little Miss Wheelchair Kansas.  So, if there is something you've been wanting but needing another reason to place an order, this may be it.  You can purchase all your Stampin' Up needs while giving to an amazing cause.   Sale-a-bration will continue until March 31, 2017, so this weekend you can also earn your FREE Sale-a-bration products.  Let me know if I can help you with your order.  Don't forget to place your order in my store.  Click here.

Thanks for your order and supporting Little Miss Wheelchair Kansas

Pretty Pocket Card Kit

I have been trying to be intentional about sending special handmade cards to those who have made an impact in my life (that I can still access an address for).  I came up with quite a list of those who had been instrumental in my discipleship at some point in my life thus far while I was at a Women's Retreat this weekend.  I decided to send them a note of thanks if I can find their address.  So, I came home and put together the Pretty Pocket Cards kit from Sale-a-bration.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!  I was so excited to find how quickly these beautiful cards went together.  I definitely hope they don't sell out before my next Sale-a-bration order.  This is a wonderful.kit to have available, especially when you need several cards in a short amount of time.

The only part that slowed me down at all was tying the baker's twine around the card pocket.  But that's just me   The kit comes with everything you need to create 8 beautiful cards and even has stickers with the words in English, German, and French.  :)

To shop for Stampin' Up products and earn this kit or other Sale-a-bration products, shop here before March 31 to earn Sale-a-bration products.

February Class Projects

The February Card Class got postponed until last weekend.  And, then the photos of the cards we were creating are not getting posted until a week later.  Sorry!

Here they are now.  Better late than never.  :)

The first  card design was using In Between the Lines  DSP on the front and coloring in a portion using  Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens.  Customers got to choose which DSP front to use and what they wanted to color in.  I loved seeing everyone having a different creative thought process using the same products.
Products needed to create this card:
           Whisper White Cardstock
           In Between the Lines Cardstock

For the second design we got to use the Big Shot with Star Blast thinlits and Glimmer Paper.  I used silver on the sample card and customers could choose to use the silver or any of the colors in the Sale-a-bration packet: Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaroon, or Sweet Sugarplum.

Products needed to create this card:
Paper: Night of Navy Cardstock
           Whisper White Cardstock
            Silver Glimmer Paper
Ink: Night of Navy Ink
Stamp: Birthday Blast
Big Shot
Star Blast Thinlit

For our third project, I brought my Paper Pumpkin kits that still had projects left in them.  The customers got to pick whichever project they wanted to play with--they all picked the same one.

If you are interested in paper pumpkin, let me know.  You can check it out here

It's so much fun to get together for class and get to play and be creative together.  Our next class is Friday, March 24 from 6pm until we are done with projects--usually between 9 and 10pm.  If you'd like to join us, let me know.  Class is $20 per person plus $5 for extra kits or extra members of same household.

To purchase products needed for these cards shop in my store here or click on each individual product.

Video: Work of Art card #2

It was time to create Card #2 in my Work of Art online class on video today.  Here is the pic of the card we were going to make in the online class.

I used a different color cardstock today, partly because I have been in a Bermuda Bay mood lately.  Partly because I like to spice things up with some variety.  Partly because I used all my Dapper Denim cardstock while creating card kits for this online class.

Which do you prefer? Bermuda Bay or Dapper Denim?

Which style of waves do you prefer?  Smooth and swirling on the front of the card or zig zag on the inside?

Products needed to create this card:
           Crushed Curry Cardstock
       Bermuda Bay OR Dapper Denim
