Today is the first day of February and February screams Valentine's Day to me. While I don't believe in celebrating love only one day a year, I am thrilled with the excuse to spend some time focusing even more on love than normal. I am just smitten with the color combinations in the Painted with Love DSP. I think the touch of gold adds a special touch. So, I decided to focus on adding even more gold as I added elements to this card.
I used the decorative border piece from the Flourish thinlits in gold foil to add some texture and interest. I'm so glad I remembered to use the Multi-purpose adhesive sheet before cutting this out. I'm always in awe by how easy it makes these delicate thinlits to adhere exactly where you want without worrying about the mess of glue. I then carried the gold element through by heat embossing the hearts with gold embossing powder before adhering them with dimensionals.
I didn't carry the gold through to the inside of the card, but there is a sweet little conversation heart peeking out.
