I also decided to use this card to try a few new things. This was the first time I had ever added a shim (piece of cardstock) to the BigShot while I was cutting out a thinlit to have it emboss the thinlit at the same time. This was also the first time I had used a couple of the thinlits from the Cross of Hope framlits set. I love the way it makes a detailed cut of the floral swag and not just the outline. Finally, this was the first time I'd used my Stampin' Blends to color over an image I had stamped in a different color. I think it turned out pretty well. :)
I carried the floral swag into the inside of the card as well and even colored those flowers with the Stampin' Blends as well. I love the decorative corner stamp in this set that just seems to make a blank card insert seem more formal.
