Chinese New Year is being celebrated today. 2018 is the year of the dog. It definitely feels like the year of the dog (s) at my house with our three big furbabies part of everything we do. So,I decided to make a card to celebrate Chinese New Year.
As I was doing research on Chinese New Year, I noticed how important red and gold are to this celebration. I used Real Red for the card base and one of the strips on the card front. Gold can be found in the Eastern Medallian thinlit, vinyl stickers and toussled gold thread.
The red and white were both part of the Paper Players color challenge this week. So, I made the dog paw out of crumbcake using three hearts --one for the large pad and the other two cut in half and trimmed to make toes.
Make sure you head on over to the challenges to see the inspiration cards from the design team and other creative entries .
