Dreaming of a Beach Vacation

 Today I am participating in Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights.  Our theme for this month is travel.  I paired that with the theme from the Paper Craft Crew Challenge--By the Sea.  I live in the middle of Kansas in the middle of the United States, so if I plan to be "by the sea," it will definitely be because I have traveled to get there.

The sea is not usually part of my traveling, but this card represents what I think of when I think of vacation.  Sitting in a chair, relaxing, enjoying the beauty and quiet of nature, and doing what the sentiment says. . . "Just breathe."  Life is so full of activity and go, go, go, run, run, run.  There never seems to be enough time in the day to just sit and breathe.  That is what traveling and a vacation means to me.

The entire landscape of this card was made with Tranquil Texture DSP--the sky, water, and sand.  I did some tearing of the DSP used for the sand and sponged Sarhara Sand ink along the torn edges to give it more of a rough, sand-like texture.
