Celebrate the Flag

Today is the day we celebrate the birth of America.  What we are actually celebrating is the day the founding fathers of this country signed the Declaration of Independence declaring their autonomy and freedom as a new nation.  That was followed by years of war until America was officially recognized as its own independent nation by the entire world.  The flag is a symbol of the new nation and the Independence and freedom it would bring.

I was inspired by a card my son made this weekend using 2018-202 In Color DSP.  It helped me choose exactly which paper I wanted to use to represent the flag.  When I saw the sketch for FMS 344 I instantly thought of making a flag inspired card and was inspired by my son's creation from this weekend when choosing the details.
