Using Both the Positive and Negative Sides of the Stitched Seasons Labels

This week on Global Design Project we are CASEing Connie Collins. I actually started these cards with the plan to make two Christmas cards. I used the card designed by Connie Collins to inspire both of them. I cut the label out of a sheet of Whisper White cardstock and planned the card using the label image first while saving the sheet of Whisper White cardstock to use on a second card. I was inspired by the designer's card to use a piece of floral DSP for the card front and also added a ribbon strip behind the label and a gold label frame.

When I began to make the second card, I originally intended it to be a Christmas card as well, but somehow during my design choices, it evolved into something else. I loved using the Stampin' Blends to add color to the Graceful Glass Vellum piece that shows through the frame. I decided to use some color inspiration from the GDP card by Connie Collins using the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends and also adding pearls. I added my additional strip of DSP toward the bottom of the card front instead of behind the label.
