I look at this card and see a mom, or maybe the fun aunt carrying balloons into a kid's birthday party. Why do I assume it's for a child? I don't know, but the bright colors on this card along with the pictures of cake and candy just make me think kid. Maybe it's because kids are soooo excited to celebrate turning a year older each year and some adults would rather forget their birthdays. Maybe it's because in party stores and catalogs, I often see brightly colored birthday decorations geared toward the younger set and those specifically for adults are often gloom and doom puns when you reach a certain age.
I'm here to say I for one refuse to give up brightly colored birthday celebrations and getting excited about turning a year older every birthday just because I've reached a certain age Let's celebrate life and you don't even have to remember your actual chronological age to celebrate another year of life (I know I don't always remember my age. :)
This card had me feeling like a child not only because of its bright colors, but also because I made paper doll clothes for her from DSP and got to do some coloring.
