Waiting for the Birth of a Star

The night is full of stars, twinkling brightly in the dark sky, different shapes and different levels of brightness  Some form constellations in the sky, forming an image she can imagine if she looks hard enough and connects the dots with her minds eye  Some form shapes only she imagines as new constellations are born from her imagination as she connects the stars in new ways

She is quiet as she looks at the stars and dreams about the star that will be born soon and join her family.  The star that is growing inside her right now.  The star that will be born with promise and shine brightly into the world.  She imagines the impact of this star on her world and the many other' light will touch  She dreams of the brightness about to enter the world.  She can't wait to meet this miracle and witness the impact on the world.

The expectation of a new baby seems like the perfect occasion to spend time creating a handmade card to welcome this new miracle.  II was inspired by the sketch from #tgifc198 and I also chose to enter this card in the Just Add Ink Challenge 443.  The two elements I chose were coloring and sequins  The star shaped sequins were perfect for this card.

Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink #443 and #tgifc198 to see the inspiration cards by the design team and other creative entries.

  1. This is such a sweet contemplative card Angel. I love how your maternal figure is highlighted in blue and how you also carried the star theme over from the background paper to her. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week. Kim
