Create with What You Loved as a Child

It never ceases to amaze me how you can use the same stamps, ink, and paper and come up with three different designs that are three different levels of difficulty.  This time around I chose to use purple and Gingham Gala DSP because they make me smile every time I use them.  Using colors and items you love when you are creating cause happiness and relaxation no matter what else has filled your day.

Growing up, I anxiously awaited the next Ginghams paper doll.  I would spend hours setting up their boxes and various scenes creating a Gingham village filled with these fun dolls.  Then, I would lose myself for hours making up stories as they visited each other and lived their perfect lives.  I can't even count how many hours I spent playing with my Gingham paper dolls and dragging my friends into my imaginary world right along with me.

The Ginghams did not have one who featured purple, but purple is my favorite color, so that is the color I'm creating with today.  

Here are the three different levels of stamping

and the sentiment punched out and adhered with dimensionals.

The avid card was inspired by the sketch from Global Design Project 178.

The happy hours spent playing with my Gingham paper dolls was recaptured a bit when creating cards with  Gingham Gala DSP and using my imagination with my paper crafts.  Creating with materials that remind you of a pleasant memory, can create positivity and a whole new arsenal of pleasant memories.
