Autism Acceptance Day 2019

 April is Autism Acceptance Month.  I am privileged to be the mom of an autistic daughter and get to observe some of the neurodiversity of this world first hand  I get the opportunity to experience a different point of view every day.  I get a front row seat as she manages the growth into adulthood.  It's a pretty amazing thing to watch.  I'm so thankful I get to be a part of this.  I made this card in honor of Autism Acceptance Month using what I've learned about the autism community and through conversations with my daughter about what I was trying to communicate.  (I did get her approval btw)  :)

 What is Autism Acceptance Month?

Autism Self-Advocacy Network says;
"April is Autism Acceptance Month. During Autism Acceptance Month, we focus on sharing positive, respectful, and accurate information about autism and autistic people.
Autism Acceptance Month promotes acceptance and celebration of autistic people as family members, friends, classmates, co-workers, and community members making valuable contributions to our world. Autism is a natural variation of the human experience, and we can all create a world which values, includes, and celebrates all kinds of minds."
