Today is Thanksgiving Day in the United States and the time many of us focus on our blessings and giving thanks. The theme of TGIF this week: gratitude, is perfect for today. I love that the whole country is focused on thanks for at least one day out of the year. I am trying to focus on gratitude and giving thanks all year round. As I created my card for this challenge using the parts from the Paper Pumpkin September kit, I decided I will be using the sentiment stamps from this kit on the back of my cards in the future. So, if you receive a card from me in the future, look for a reminder to be thankful on the back of your card.
When using the pieces of the Paper Pumpkin September 2017 kit, I cut the pillow box apart and used one side for the embossed cardstock section at the top of the card front. I used my favorite pattern from the Painted Harvest DSP on the bottom of the card front and used the copper washi tape from the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape at the top of the DSP. I also stamped the three rectangles with the stamps from the Paper Pumpkin September kit and attached them with Stampin' Dimensionals and tousled some gold thread behind them. Tousling thread is a technique I'm still trying to get the hang of. :)
