Jingle Bells Squared

 I love a challenge that breaks me out of my comfort zone.  And while I didn't actually think I was in a comfort zone, I found that the idea of making a square shaped card gave me pause for a moment.  I'm so used to cutting my 8 1/2 x 11"  piece of cardstock  in half to make a card base 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  That is not a square.  I chose to make my card 4" square, mostly because that is the size that worked best with my design idea using the Merry Music Specialty DSP.

I cut the sheet music with Jingle Bells into five different strips 7/8" wide.  I put the first four on the front of the card in the design of the sketch for this week and the final line of "Jingle Bells" is on the inside of the card.  The music just carries all the way through  I used the circle element of the sketch to highlight the title of the song and added some color with three strands of Cherry Cobbler baker's twine tied into a bow and the Garden Green Cardstock and Christmas themed DSP with the Holly Berry Builder Punch to create some holly leaves.  I couldn't help but add some bells as the holly berries, even though they don't actually jingle.  :)
