This week has been somewhat of a struggle for my creative brain. I had a bit of overload of information from OnStage last weekend and have spent most of the week processing everything I learned. I am struggling with the dilemma of do I create with retiring products before they're gone, or do I play with my new products. Well, this card let me do both. :)
I chose to use the colors from The Paper Players Challenge this week which include two retiring colors, one of which has been my very favorite. I guess it's almost time to choose another favorite. In the meantime, you can expect to see a lot of Elegant Eggplant in the next month and a half. I used my last piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock as the card base. I added the Tranquil Tide in the DSP and coloring done on the leaves.
Then, for the new . . .I used two of my new stamp sets from OnStage. I used Animal Outing for most of the stamps on this card, both outside and in. I did stamp the bird from Pick a Pennant in Elegant Eggplant and colored it in using Blender Pens. The frog and leaves were colored in using a Tranquil Tide marker and blender pens. It's always amazing to me what a blender pen can do if it just picks up a bit of ink.
