Christmas in July with Wood Words

Do you already have Christmas on the brain?  I do!!!  I am super excited to see my first sneak peek of the 2018 Holiday Catalog at the end of this month.  In the meantime, I am focusing on designing Christmas cards for several of my July classes.  This card was created for the Christmas in July Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and it is also the Christmas card I will be using with my featured August stamp set--Wood Words.  I am still on track with my goal of creating at least one Christmas card with each of my featured stamp sets of the month.  I challenged myself starting in May of this year.  We'll see how long I can keep it going.

I love that if you wanted to add the moon or rooster to an ornament for this card, they would also work.  I chose to use the heart and star.  I also love that the Under the Mistletoe DSP has pages with pine branches, so I can attach ornaments to the paper and have them look like they are hanging off the tree.  I used retired baker's twine from a holiday bundle for the ornament strings, but you can use gold thread, ribbon, or who knows what will be available in the 2018 Holiday Catalog???

Make sure you head over to the challenges to see the inspiration cards by the design team and other creative entries.
