My Favorite Things (At Least Right Now)

When I first saw that the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for the week was creator choice which gave us the freedom to choose our favorite stamps, ink, and paper to create our project this week, I was excited.  The reality is it proved a bit harder than I expected.   There are so many amazing products available in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, it was difficult to narrow it down to my favorite.

I knew that I would be choosing a purple shade for my favorite color.  Blackberry Bliss happens to be my favorite Stampin' Up! color right now.  It also happens to be one of the colors of the Delightfully Detailed Notecards.  The Delightfully Detailed Suite is also my favorite suite in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, so I decided to focus on products from that suite.  The Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty DSP is perfect for these notecards.  You can cut floral images out of the DSP and attach single flowers to the front of cards.
The panels are the perfect size for the front of the notecards and have both a Very Vanilla side and Whisper White side.  The polka dot tulle ribbon also comes in either Very Vanilla or Whisper White.  I tried coloring the ribbon with my Stampin' Blends Rich Razzleberry marker to add a bit of color to the ribbon.  I was pleased with how it came out and excited to know I can create ribbon for my projects in any color for which I have a Stampin' Blends marker.

There are also Mint Macaron notecards in this set.  I did some CASEing of the catalog as I prepared these notecards.  I used one of the Laser Cut Panels as a mask and sponged Mint Macaron ink to create the pattern on the notecard.  I also added some Mint Macaron Baker's Twine and Gold Thread behind the sentiment circle.

Make sure you head over to the challenges to see the inspiration cards by the design team and other creative entries.

  1. Hi Angel, I love what you've done with the Delightfully Detailed Notecards. The Laser-cut Specialty DSP looks lovely against them, whether cut into individual pieces or as a panel. So striking. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

    1. My favorite tends to be whatever I've been using a lot of lately and so it tends to change frequently. :)
