What Do You Do When You're All Out of Creative Juice? Make Something Anyway,

  • Do you ever wake up and feel blah?
  • Your creative juices have all drained out of your body?
  • It's not the you physically couldn't stamp or create if you wanted to, but you just don't want to?
  • You don't have the energy or the want to do anything but sit on the couch, if you've ever made it out of bed?
  • It doesn't matter if it's raining or the sun is shining, you don't want to raise the blind and look out the window?
Do you ever have days like that?
Well, I do.  And, I did today.
So, how did I find my creative mojo to get this card made for you today?

I started crafting anyway.  Today is Facebook LIVE day and I thought I could find enough energy to move to my crafting space and make a card I already had planned for the FB LIVE today.  So, I did.  And surprise, the very act of creating sparked something within me.  The act of creating replenished my creative juices enough that I wanted to keep creating with I was done filming.

I was inspired by the Paper Players Tic Tac Toe Challenge when creating this card and then I decided to make it a black and while card so it was appropriate for the Inspire.Create Challenge too.  I made a tic tac toe diagonally from left bottom square to top right: Easter, embossing, patterned paper  And if you consider an oval a squished  circle I also make a tic tac toe with the bottom row: Easter, circle, floral.

I was inspired by the symbols of new life: butterflies, flowers, and the empty cross.  They were breathing some fresh hope into me today and I don't think I decided to use this sentiment by accident.  I needed that reminder today that God did not just make us and leave us to fend for ourselves.  He is there to carry us, sustain us, and rescue us.  I definitely needed carried, sustained, and rescued today.

What about you?

So, when you have those days when your creative juice has all drained out and it is all you can do to move from bed to couch or maybe move like a zombie throughout your day, sit down and create anyway.  Start going through the motions.  Pick up a stamp.  Touch the different colors around you.  Maybe open your blind and look out the window.  Put your pen to paper and just start writing.  Start coloring  Start moving paper around.  Start crocheting.  See what happens  You never know what amazing, creative project you will have at the end.

Make sure you head over to Inspire,Create Challenge #040 to PP435 to see the inspiration cards by the design team and other creative entries.
