I'm still catching you all up on some of the cards I created and sent out for Christmas.  I had so much fun playing with the different products available.  I did not get my very own Big Shot until after Christmas so I'm super pumped to get to play with that while I create Christmas cards this year.    Here are some pictures of cards I created featuring the Christmas tree punch (RETIRED)



Sale-a-Bration Thank Yous

Thank you cards are probably my favorite card to make.  I always say I'm going to just carry a few extra around since you never know when you're going to find someone you need to thank.  I haven't actually gotten around to that yet, but if I ever get caught up on the cards I plan to make, I still think a few extra thank you cards will be nice to just carry around. 

I saw a beautiful thank you card on Pinterest created by Sue Vine, and I CASEd it for my Christmas Thank Yous this year.  They are all a bit different--partly on purpose and partly because I did not measure my angle cuts.  I tend to "eyeball" things and just cut them the way I think they look right.  :)

Alternate November Paper Pumpkin

I am absolutely loving Paper Pumpkin.  It's so exciting to me to find my orange box in the mailbox and wonder what exciting projects I'm going to find inside.  The November box was blue, so I knew right away something great would be inside.  I love making the cards as planned by Stampin' Up (see above), but I love even more using the parts to see what other great projects are just waiting to be created. Global Design Project 072| CASE the Designer: Krista Fratin

It's time once again for the Global Design Project.  This week #GDP072 is a CASE the Designer.  I've been trying lately to create a card that fits both the GDP and a card I need to send out soon.  This week, I was making my customer cards and some Valentines.  I had so much fun making them all a bit different, and I ended up with six cards that would have fit this challenge.  So, I had my family vote on which one I should send in for #GDP072.     Well, two of the cards received an equal number of votes, so I will be entering two.  I just couldn't quite narrow it down to only one.  I'll be posting the second card soon.

Stamping while Reclining or on Bedrest

I realized this video didn't make it on my blog, so here it is.  It is on my YouTube channel--look up Angel Shaver.  But, I wanted to make sure it is available on here as well.  This video was created by request; I was asked to demonstrate how I stamp while needing to remain on bed rest or in a recliner.  So, check this out and I hope it gives you lots of great ideas.  I also made a card on this video, so check it out and let me know what you think.

Christmas Cards for Musicians

When I began planning Christmas cards for this year, I was so excited to see Designer Series Paper with music score.  I began planning music related cards for my piano students and daughter's music teacher.  Music has been such a huge part of my life and I am drawn to anything musical, I was thrilled to be inspired and get to create with music DSP.   I have discovered for myself that although it takes extra time, I love the process of creating different designs for cards using the same DSP.  It keeps the creative juices flowing and gives me the chance to use the same paper in a variety of ways
