Sparkling Star of Light

This was our technique project for the November card class.  Everyone was pretty excited to try embossing again and use the Big Shot for the first time.  We used the Silver Glitter paper for the first time with a detailed thinlit.  I was pretty excited by how much this sparkles.

It definitely draws your attention to the star.  Which in turn, has always been intended to draw your attention to the Savior.  There is no sentiment on the outside of the card, but the inside is one of the choices from the Star of Light stamp set that focuses on what the star is pointing us toward--Christ.
I wish a picture of this card could help you enjoy the sparkle, but it doesn't do it justice.  I guess you just have to see it in person.

I have seen this set used with many different colors, but I personally am drawn to navy and silver.  What do you think?  What is your favorite color combination to use with this stamp set?

Here is a pic of the inside of the card.  I think it might have looked better with the star trail stamp stamped in gray, but I don't have that color readily available.  What do you think?
