CTS 230

The sketch for CAS(E) this sketch! this week gave me the chance to play with some techniques I've been wanting to try;  The first thing I did was pick three colors of cardstock that varied by just a shade  I ended up with Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand, and Crumb Cake.  After I cut them to size, I used the Rose Wonder stamp set to create my own background paper on the two lighter shades and embossed the bottom, darker shade with "celebrate" from the Celebrations Due Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.

I have been wanting to leave all the paper pieces inside the outline of my thinlit for awhile.  I decided to try it on this card, but instead of just leaving the same color on the inside as the outline, I cut another rose out in Powder Pink and used those inside pieces inside the Berry Burst outline.  I finished up my card with some Berry Burst Glitter Enamel Dots.  Then, I added Wink of Stella to the rose to add some shimmer.

  1. Thank you. This was my first ever use of Wink of Stella. I loved it but have some plans for doing this card a bit differently in the future.
