My favorite April theme (at least on the years it falls in April) is Easter. So, I started thinking about an Easter themed card and decided that would work for the SUO Challenge.
I actually began my creative process today working on the Fab Friday challenge. The first step in any color challenge is to inventory my own products and see what I have in each color of the challenge. I did have ink in Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral, but only paper in Mint Macaron and So Saffron. That helps me decide what color the card base will be and brings the design together in my mind.
Once the card was finished, I realized I had created an Easter card which would work for the SUO Challenge as well.

DeleteGreat, great job! I love to hear about other folks' processes - yours sounds very similar to mine, lol. This is a lovely spring Easter scene you've made, too! I love your clusters of flowers! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear my process isn't completely out there. :)

ReplyDeleteVery sweet! I like the bunch of flowers....looks like a beautiful flowering bush! I like the stamped and punched clouds layered over the cloud DSP. Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Once I started layering flowers, I too thought it looked a bit like a flowering bush.
DeleteSuch a pretty bouquet of spring flowers...wonderful for Easter! Thanks for playing along with the spring challenge this time on SUO Challenges.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. It's starting to feel like spring around here so I can enjoy them in real life too.
DeleteLove the cloud DSP in the background and your project is just perfect for our challenge. So glad you joined the fun at SUOChallenges
ReplyDeleteI too love the cloud DSP. I'm sad it's no longer available sine Sale-a-bration is over, but glad I still have some I can use when it is appropriate.
DeleteYou really go all the spring themes in there...April showers, May flowers and Easter. What a pretty scene you created! Thanks for joining the SUO challenge!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't trying to hit all themes, but I guess I did. LOL I was just trying to create a scene that meant April to me.
