TGIF 117--Theme Week-Summertime Blues

When I first saw the theme for this challenge, I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do.  I don't really suffer from the summertime blues and the lyrics to the song just talk about the blues from wanting to enjoy summer instead of having to work.  Since I love my work, I don't really have the summertime blues and I love when my children have no school and more time for other experiences.  But, my daughter had a great idea about this theme: she suggested losing your ice cream would cause the summertime blues.   And, she didn't even know that I have been focusing on the Cool Treats stamp set right now.  So, the idea for my card design was born.

I think I found the source of Summertime Blues, at least for me.  When my cool treats melt away or fall on the ground before I can enjoy them, I have the summertime blues.

Make sure you check out the inspiration from the design team and other creative entries in #tgifc117

    1. Since it was a theme and not color challenge I definitely wanted to portray something that would make me feel "blue," but I couldn't help but add some blue color anyway. :)
