TGIF 116 Sketch with CAS 232 Colors

I have been playing with the Petal Garden and Color Theory Memories & More kits a lot lately in preparation for the Memories & More class.  While I was prepping for the class, I decided I needed to get myself the Bundle of Love kit to put together some ready made baby cards.  When I saw the TGIF Sketch for this Challenge and the colors for CAS 232, I knew I wanted to use the Bundle of Love Memories & More kit.

The color challenge called for Powder Pink and the Bundle of Love kit uses Blushing Bride for its pink, so I chose to add the Powder Pink through cardstock layers in other ways and only use the Soft Sky side of the Bundle of Love kit for this card, but if you weren't trying to use specific colors, you could always use this same sketch with the Blushing Bride side of the Bundle of Love cards for either all or part of your design.

I thought the sentiment from the So Many Shells stamp set was perfect for this card.  If you chose to use this for a baby congratulations card, it is fitting: "Miracles happen."  All babies are miracles and proof that miracles do in fact happen.

Make sure you head over to the challenges to see the design inspiration and other amazing entries.

  2. These colors made me think to create a baby themed card, too! :) I like the bits of pink peeping out from behind the panels of your card. Very nice! Thanks for making CC&S part of your crafting time!

  3. Wonderful card. I like the string accent in dark blue - it helps lead the eye to the sentiment. Thanks for playing along with us at CC&S!
